Danish jury members

After the announcement of our semi-finalists by March 10th 2017, a Finnish, Danish- and Norwegian jury will each choose a Top 10. The three Top 10's will be announced on March 31st, 2017.

The Danish jury will also choose a winner and runner-up, that will be announced on April 20h, 2017 at a special prize ceremony in Danish Film Institute's Cinemateque. Below you can read more about the Danish jury members.


Karen Arnfred Vedel (DK)

Associate Professor, Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, 
Copenhagen University
Previously: dancer and choreographer, editor of the two anthologies “Nordic Dance Spaces. Practicing and Imagining a region’(2014) and “Dance and the Formation of Norden. Emergences and Struggles” (2011)
Education: PhD, Theatre and Performance Studies

Maja Lindquist (SE)

Current: Director of Doc Lounge (screenings and distribution) and board
member of Dansstationen
Previously: Project manager at Trans Europe Halles and Head of International Relations & Programmer at Kulturmejeriet (Lund)

Education: University of Lund (Sweden), Universitée de la Sorbonne(France), University of Gothenburg (Sweden)

Claus Christensen (DK)

Current: Editor-in-chief at Filmmagasinet Ekko
Previously: Film critic at the newspapers ‘Århus Stiftstidende’ and ‘Information’,
a lecturer at European Film College, and guest-editor and journalist at the Danish Filminstitute’s magazine FILM.

Taneli Törmä (FI)

Current: Artistic director of Location X - collaboration projects working with contemporary dance, film and multidisciplinary arts

Previously: DK winner of 60secondsdance in 2015 with film JUMP 
Education: Finnish National Ballet School, Vocational qualification in dance in Helsinki/Finland 2002-2005 and Compagnia Roberto Zappala Modem Studio atelier in Catania/Italy 2007-2008.

Lone Sardemann (DK)

Current: Film coordinator/program editor for the Danish Film Institute’s Cinematheque.
Previously: Employments with TV3, Wegelius TV, Østre Gasværk Theater
and Arken Museum of Modern Art.

Efva Lilja (SE)

Current: Artist and Director of Dansehallerne
Previously: Artworks for stage, screen, galleries. Author and lecturer. Activist. Professor in choreography. Artistic director of E.L.D., a platform for new choreographic art (now weld) and Vice-Chancellor of DOCH in Stockholm

Education: Educated as a dancer and choreographer, further education in leadership.
